The Pony Express Century starts and ends in Eagle Mountain. Then heads out of Eagle Mountain and down hill to Saratoga Springs. We then proceed on rolling hills along the west side of Utah Lake with spectacular views of Utah Valley. A right turn in Elberta starts the major climb of the ride as we climb about 2,000 feet in 10 miles to Eureka, and old mining ghost town. Lunch will be provided in Eureka. At this point we are nearly half way done and are at the highest elevation of the ride. The ride then goes mostly down hill towards the old Pony Express route. From Faust back to Eagle Mountain we follow the Pony Express route (as best as possible while staying on paved roads) back to Eagle Mountain. There will be 4 fully stocked rest stops, plus a stop in Eureka with sandwiches for lunch. Please contact JLIB_HTML_CLOAKING for 50 mile options.

The right turn after Eureka is well marked, however each year we have cyclists miss this turn. If you miss the turn there is a second turn just a little ways down the road. Both turns will be marked.
