Lesson 2 - Pronouns
Pages 6 and 7
There are four cases in German we will cover the cases in future lessons. For now it is sufficient to know that there are four ways to say each of the pronouns. English also changes the pronouns for the different cases but we only have two versions of each pronoun.
To help visualize the pronouns they will be put into a table. This same table format will be used throughout the lessons.

Notice that in English I is capitalized but ich is not capitalized in German. Also the formal versions of you, (Sie, Ihnen, and Ihrer) are always capitalized in German. You may be saying to yourself, there were suppose to be four cases but I only see three above. True but the Genitive case is rarely used and is not covered here.
